Frightening and morbid beings who gradually become endearing. Their expressions are dreamy. Anguish gives way to nostalgia. Young and old alike wear mummy or skeleton costumes. The skulls are next to the flowers. Food is placed as an offering on tombs lit by candles. Piety rubs shoulders with the layman. They are strong images, bathed in human warmth and mystical symbolism.
